ALL ON X

What Is It?

All-on-X is a surgical treatment concept where implants are utilized to replace the full arch of upper or lower teeth with fixed (screwed in) non-removable full arch prosthetic teeth. This eliminates the flange and palate of a denture. Similar concepts go by names like All-on-four or Great on 8 etc. but unlike other cookbook concepts we believe it is important to customize each treatment specific to the patient’s anatomy to maximize long term stability. This means that some people may get four implants, some will get six and some may need zygomatic implants but the overall concept and cost remain the same.

Benefits

All on X offers several benefits that other methods of tooth restoration, such as dentures, bridges, or traditional dental implants, do not.

Teeth in One Day!

All on X is sometimes called “teeth in a day” for very good reason. Most All on X patients go from having little to no teeth to a complete smile in just one day without ever having to wear a denture.

Improved Quality of Life

All on X gives you natural-looking and long-lasting beautiful teeth. Talking and eating feel normal, unlike with dentures. Even more reason to smile with confidence.

Promote Jawbone Health

All on X restores and strengthens your jawbone, which results in a healthier mouth and reduces your risk for periodontal diseases.

Increased Confidence

All on X dental implants create natural, long-lasting, and beautiful smiles for those who previously were self-conscious about their smile.

Easy to Care For

You can care for your implant-supported bridge the same way you would care for real teeth—with daily brushing and flossing, and regular visits to your dentist.

Cost Effective

Because All on X is a procedure that addresses a full arch with complete restoration in only one surgery, it is less expensive than replacing each individual tooth.

Frequently Asked Questions

How are they different from dentures?

All-on-4 implants are a permanent set of teeth that look and feel like natural teeth. All-on-X dental implants:

  • Are permanent teeth that are brushed and cleaned like natural teeth
  • Do not have to be taken out
  • Do not need adhesives
  • Are comfortable because they do not press down on your gums
  • Allow you to experience the hot and cold of your food, as well as the taste
  • Allow you to bite with increased force (up to 70% more), so you can eat all of your favorite foods again
  • Prevent bone deterioration
  • Restore your facial features
How long is the All-on-X Surgery?

The surgery takes approximately 2 hours per arch. The restoration may take an additional hour to finish which is being simultaneously custom made by a prosthodontist or lab technician in our lab.

What is the success rate with All-on-X Dental Implants?

Published studies show a 98% success rate using All-on-X dental implants. It is very important to keep up with regular visits to your Dental Hygienist to keep the area around the implants clean and disease free. Also, smoking is a major factor in the failure of all dental implants.

What if I just need implants on my bottom arch?

All-on-X implants can be placed on just the upper or lower arch. Your dentist will evaluate your circumstance and if he or she feels you might eventually need replacement teeth on both the upper and lower arches, he or she might suggest performing the procedure on both arches at the same time. This provides better results while also saving time and money. Your doctor will work with you to determine what best meets your needs both health wise and cost wise.

Will my results look natural?

Absolutely. The All-on-X dental implant technique gives you permanent teeth that look, feel and function just like real teeth. No one will know you have implants unless you tell them.

When do I get permanent teeth after implants are placed?

As with any surgery, you need time to heal. However, you will not leave our office without teeth! A temporary set of teeth will be placed on your implants. Once the healing process is complete, your permanent teeth will be placed at a follow up visit approximately four to six months after surgery.

What type of cleaning is required after an implant is placed?

Dental implants should be treated like your natural teeth, daily brushing and flossing is recommended. Our dental hygienists will review oral hygiene instructions with you and will recommend the most appropriate oral hygiene treatment plan to fit your needs.

What Our Patients Say

“I Love My Smile”

Dr. Leach and his team were amazing and made me feel comfortable during my journey of having jaw surgery. He gained my trust quickly because he made sure he discussed all my options and reasons why I needed the surgery. After my jaw surgery, I love my smile and is no longer self-conscious about my jaw or the way my chin looks. I could not have asked for a better team or experience.

“One of the Biggest Fans”

In December of 2019, Dr. Daniel Leach performed an extensive oral surgery on our 19-year-old son. In the 4 to 5 years of preparation for this surgery with our orthodontist, Dr. Loring Ross, we met with many qualified oral surgeons. Our son felt most comfortable and confident with Dr. Leach, as did we. The communication between these two doctors was evident. In layman’s terms, my sons lower jaw was shifted to one ...

"Love, Care, & Compassion”

Dr. Leach and all of his team treated me great. I received great customer service along with great patient care. Dr. Leach and his wife were great with me throughout this lengthy procedure. Not everyone can do what they do and actually enjoy doing it. Not everyone treats their patients with love, care, and compassion like they do. I felt 0 pain while under their care. They made my procedure as ...
